The Yucca is a South and Central American plant that likes a lot of light and little water. Native Americans use the leaves and roots of the Yucca as a medicine. Its fibers are also used to make objects such as mats, baskets, etc. It is an ideal plant for a place with a lot of light that is still very easy to maintain. Perfect for a room with direct light and a student who sometimes forgets his plants.
Below you can read more about its easy care .
How much water does the Yucca need?
The Yucca, recognizable by its thick trunk, stores a lot of water and can therefore go a long time without water. You can easily know when you need to water it again by letting the soil dry out completely for more than a week . Watering it once every 3 weeks is in most cases more than enough for the plant to feel happy. What the Yucca does not do well with is overwatering. So it is best not to give too much water at once.
How much light does the Yucca need?
As mentioned before, the Yucca likes a lot of light. Therefore, it is best to place it in a place with a lot of direct light.
The Yucca comes in all shapes and sizes, you're sure to find one that you like.
