Dolphin Plant Care
Watering the Dolphin Plant
This strong plant is best not to give too much water. The small roots are very sensitive to too much water, then they start to rot. This causes the leaves and stem at the top to turn brown and shrivel, the first reaction is often to give more water. However, this does not benefit the Senecio Peregrinus. The extra water you give then certainly cannot recover the plant.
Usually, once every 1 to 2 weeks is sufficient for this succulent. The best way to water it is to put it in a bowl of water for 15 to 30 minutes, then let it drain sufficiently and then put it back in its place. Be sure to let the soil dry out between watering.
How much light does the dolphin plant need?
Although the plant likes a lighter spot, it does not really like the afternoon sun, a spot with evening or morning sun is ideal for this cheerful plant.
