How much water does the Alocasia Zebrina need?

Never let the soil dry out completely and make sure it never stands in water for too long. The Alocasia Zebrina shows when it needs water. Are its leaves starting to droop? Then it needs some water.

You can test this by sticking your finger in the soil. If the soil is dry, you can water it. Does the soil still feel wet? Then you should wait a few more days!

How much light does the Alocasia Zebrina need?

The Alocasia Zebrina is a plant that loves a lot of light. It is just not a fan of direct sunlight. So it is best to put it in a place without too much direct sunlight. It is best to place it at an eastern or western window with strong indirect light. Here you will find plants for direct sunlight !

Like most Alocasias it grows towards the light. It is therefore advisable to turn it a quarter turn every week so that it continues to grow upright.

When and how should you repot an Alocasia?

On average, you can best repot the Alocasia Zebrina every other year. You do this best in spring or summer. In winter, the plant produces less energy and will therefore suffer more from the change caused by repotting. In general, an Alocasia likes to be cramped in its pot.
